Richard Corral, CEO and Principal Consultant of Corral Consulting, is proud to announce that as of August 2013, he was elected to a three year term as President of the San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness. The Consortium is a nonprofit organization leading the effort to end homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley by facilitating partnerships, educating the community and member agencies, and advocating for appropriate housing and services.
Through his role as President, Mr. Corral has several exciting and innovative ideas to advance the Consortium’s mission around financial sustainability, communications, and positioning the Consortium as the go to organization for homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley.
“I am excited and honored,” Mr. Corral said of his new position, “I believe in the capacity and expertise of the board…they are very talented. I will bring new members to the Consortium and grow the board as well.”
Executive Director of the Consortium, Todd Palmquist believes the addition of Mr. Corral to the board of directors will be a beneficial partnership. “Richard brings his experience with other nonprofits, marketing, fundraising, and networking, as well as helping us be more sustainable. So far every thing’s been very positive in what he’s brought to the table.”
Since 1995, the Consortium has served the homeless community in the San Gabriel Valley, most notably working alongside the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on assembling the annual Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count.
