The Latino Equality Alliance (LEA) works to achieve liberty, equality, and justice for the Latino Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community by convening a broad-based coalition of organizations serving Latinos/as and ally organizations deeply rooted in both the LGBT and Latino communities. LEA contracted Corral Consulting to design, facilitate and evaluate the Meeting of the Minds – a six month, collaborative planning process that engaged diverse community stakeholders (i.e. students, residents, advocates, faith leaders, elected officials, service organizations, etc.) to develop content and workshops for the Southeast Los Angeles LGBT Issues Forum. The LGBT Issues Forum highlighted issues facing LGBT youth, families and faith communities, provided resources and solicited recommendations to promote acceptance of the LGBT community throughout Southeast Los Angeles.
