Consultant and Facilitator
The Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC), a nonprofit organization, works to address the varied social and economic challenges across Southeast Los Angeles’ eight member cities: Bell, Commerce, Vernon, Maywood, Cudahy, Huntington Park, South Gate, and Bell Gardens. Corral Consulting successfully designed and facilitated a strategic planning process for SCDC’s Executive Director and its Board of Directors to collaboratively produce a theory of change, SWOT analysis and a logic model that inform and guide SCDC’s 2012-2013 funded activities. Corral Consulting interviewed board members on community needs; the organization’s future vision and values; the assumptions, beliefs and rationales that guide the organization’s work; internal strengths and weaknesses; and external opportunities and threats. This information was synthesized to inform strategic planning activities, and to produce an online logic model to document, house and share SCDC’s logic model among multiple stakeholders.
