AICC Looks Ahead To A Bright 2014

January 30, 2014 by Daniel Aguirre Leave a Comment

In late 2013, Corral Consulting was approached by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICC) to develop a series of retreats for its Corporate Advisory Council intended to address the Council’s 2014 objectives.

The AICC is a well established chamber that facilitates networking opportunities and support of American Indian business people throughout California and nationally.  The group also mentors entrepreneurs beginning new endeavors and acts as a vehicle for education and growth opportunities.

Taking place over two weekends in December, Corral Consulting designed retreats in Northern and Southern California intended to identify the Corporate Advisory Council’s 2014 goals, priorities and activities. The Corporate Advisory Council is an assemblage of corporations, such as AT&T, Southern California Edison, the Walt Disney Company, and Verizon that support and advise the AICC’s work.

While at the retreats, attendees took part in an assessment of their collective strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (S.W.O.T. analysis), which informed the Council members about who is in attendance, what they excel at, and what they can accomplish together. Both sessions were met with great success and produced clear objectives for 2014.

“It was a great opportunity and experience,” said Corral Consulting’s CEO and Principal Consultant, Richard Corral, when thinking back on the retreats.  “They have very clear marching orders for 2014 and I suspect they will be very successful.”

President and Creative Director of AICC Tracy Stanhoff believes the retreats were a positive experience for all, “ We enjoyed very productive, structured days with Richard leading us through strategic planning exercises for our Advisory Council.  His assistance has helped us tremendously.”

The American Indian Chamber of Commerce is always seeking new partners and members, for more information please contact stateadmin@aiccal.org or call at (213) 440-3232.
